The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution range of cars is fast emerging as a contender for top spot in the two-litre turbocharged, 4 Wheel Drive Saloon car wars. The range has evolved rapidly as Mitsubishi have battled alongside Subaru ( Impreza ) and Ford ( Escort Cosworth ) for top honours in the World Rally Championship.
