HKS Parts :

Stainless Steel Manifoldsback to top of the page

HKS Exhaust manifolds are precision fabricated totally from stainless steel. The gas flow through the manifolds is far superior to the original cast iron items, plus the HKS versions are significantly lighter in weight. The pipe diameters selected, and bend radii used are picked to give optimum gas-flow. In addition, the primary & secondary pipe lengths are chosen to take the greatest advantage of the natural pulsing effects of the exhaust gasses to aid exhaust gas extraction.
Each HKS manifold is manufactured specifically for each vehicle, so is a guaranteed perfect fit.

Fuel Cut Defencerback to top of the page

The HKS FCD can be fitted to allow the engine to run higher than standard Turbo boost pressures, giving a relevant increase in performance.
This operates by raising (not removing) the standard boost safety limit.

Air Fuel Ratio Regulatorback to top of the page
The HKS AFR is designed to allow small 'trimming' adjustments to the fuel mixture. On mildly tuned vehicles (exhaust and induction system changes), simple richening or leaning of the fuel mixture may be beneficial. The AFR will modify the signals sent to the engine management system from the original Air Metering unit, allowing a simple alteration to the air / fuel ratio.
Super AFRback to top of the page

The HKS Super AFR is a microprocessor controlled fuel adjustment device than modifies the signals sent by the engine management system to the fuel injectors. This can be used to effectively recalibrate the original fuel injection system when mechanical modifications have been made to the engine. Alteration to the fuelling can be programmed at eleven different engine speeds (RPM sites), plus idle. Six additional areas can give extra fuelling at pre set engine speeds for throttle enrichment. As an example, you could use the Super AFR to make fuelling adjustments at specific engine speeds. (i.e. plus 25% at 4000 RPM, minus 10% at 4500 RPM, plus 20% at 5000 RPM and so on).
HKS also produce a simpler, Standard AFR, but this will make one general adjustment to the fuelling at all engine speeds.
Please note that due to the nature of this equipment, severe engine damage may be caused if inaccurate adjustments are carried out.

Electronic Valve Controlback to top of the page

The HKS EVC is an elaborate, stand alone, turbo boost-control system that can be used to regulate the boost when modifications have been made to allow higher than standard levels. The main components of this system are a switched; microprocessor controlled drive unit, and an electronic stepper-motor.
This will give immediate, push button control of turbo boost to accurately pre-set levels. The complex electronic control unit is also able to learn the vehicle's natural boost pressure curve, and reduce turbo lag to the minimum.
